On the 15th of February, ITC hosted Green Stories for Lunch virtual event organized by the Innovation Lab in collaboration with the ITC Trade and Environment team.

Lidia Diaz, Innovation Manager at Plant Powered SRL from the Dominican Republic and winner of the Youth Ecopreneur Awards, joined us to share her thoughts on ‘sustainability one plate at a time’ and how each of us can contribute to a more sustainable planet through our own eating habits.

Lidia Diaz made it her mission to help change eating habits towards a plant-based diet, for a more sustainable world. During the session, we heard how Lidia started her entrepreneurial journey, about the risks if we continue eating a heavy meat-based diet, and how small changes can make a big difference in terms of building healthy habits. As part of the session, the participants also got to learn how to cook “moro de habichuelas rojas dominicana”!
